In this session, trained CRM facilitator, Nira Campbell, M.Ed, LPC, will provide an overview of the Community Resiliency Model. Community Resiliency Model, or CRM, is a biological wellness model that details research-based, trauma-informed, best practices and tools that teach educators to track (self-regulate), use resources to support optimal performance, and in this space, offer these resources and skills to students. This training is helpful and applicable to anyone serving students in a PreK-12th grade setting, or those who work in a school community. The Community Resiliency Model has been taught around the world, including in its current application in fire-devastated Maui, and helps restore individuals and communities impacted by trauma. CRM is taught in a language that is user-friendly, non-clinical, and incredibly helpful to anyone in education, especially those who serve students experiencing (or who have experienced) trauma. CRM equips educators—both novice and veteran—with a resource toolkit that is both accessible and relevant. Come learn how to support your students who are, or have been, impacted by trauma in the classroom and beyond.
